Literary festival "Month of author's readings" will be held this year from 1 to 31 July online!
The month of author's readings 2020 - the largest cross-border festival in Central and Eastern Europe - starts on July 1 in Lviv.
Hungary will be the guest of honor at MACH 2020, and this time the organizers will present Czech, Polish and Ukrainian authors at the home line. </p>
The month of author's readings (MACH) traditionally takes place from July 1 to 31 in Brno, Košice, Ostrava, Wrocław and Lviv.
This year, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the MACH in Lviv is completely online.
Every night at 20.00 and 21.30 everyone is invited to listen, watch, ask, meet, read and hear the world around us. MACH 2020 will take place in live broadcasts with simultaneous translation

For the last two years we have been broadcasting all our festival events live, but now the situation has led to drastic decisions. Therefore, in 2020, through direct inclusions from Brno, Budapest and the whole of Ukraine, we will try to support and continue the tradition of the festival of "warm contacts" - despite the social distance.
Below you can see the full program of the festival and the schedule of online broadcasts so that you can plan pleasant evenings at home or in your calendar with views of the author's readings by Sofia Andrukhovych, Jiri Gaicek, Gyordia Spiro, Maryna Hrymych, Shepan Twardokh, Andriy Bondarti Tamara Nut Grain, Jan Nemets, Illarion Pavlyuk and many, many others.
International mobility and direct exchange of neighboring cultures, interrupted by global quarantine, were at the heart of the IAF festival. And precisely because we value intercultural dialogue and the opportunity to share our fears and hopes with each other through the art of speech, we decided to use technology and maintain the longevity of the festival tradition.
There will be a variety of guests, there will be fresh translations, there will be qualified moderators, there will be interviews, there will be radio podcasts, and - we hope - there will be responsive and critical, senior and junior viewers.
