This year's theme is ‘Routes, Networks and Connections’.
It is an opportunity to travel again along the roads, paths and trails of history to discover how our local heritage is connected to other cultures and places.
The society we know today is built on networks of exchange - trade, technological innovation, shared religious beliefs, cultural and artistic practices.
Roads and routes, places of worship, post offices, towers, fortifications, street names, local cuisine, language, and many other elements are evidence of these interconnections.
